Most memorable/meaning year of softball:
The most memorable year of softball was the summer of 2015. After major back spinal surgery in 2014, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to play softball, or any sports again. After months of therapy, I made it back onto the field in late July. Later that year we won the State Championships and I was named Tournament MVP (batted 18-for-19) then just a few weeks later won the Men’s 40+ World Series and was named tournament MVP, batting 1000. (20-for-20).
Highlights: Over the last +30 years I’ve been fortunate enough to have played for some of the best sponsors in the game and thanks to them I have been able to play softball in over 35 states and two countries. Competed in over +50 World Series tournaments, over +500 Tournaments.
Best team ever played with: 2012-2013 Allstate team (registered out of CT). Over two years we went on to win just about everything we entered from States, to Nationals, to the FireCracker (run ruling every team, including all A&B ranked teams from the USA and a couple from Canada).
Favorite place to play: Heading up to Quebec for the International LE PIF tournament in Sherbrook, where the top teams from the USA play the top Teams From Canada. Love going up there to play Its like being a Red Sox and heading to Yankee stadium for a world series game… and to win that Championship up there, on their home field. That was the best to play… so far.
